With all our moving stuff we had to put off some birthday parties, but now that we are moving (TODAY ACTUALLY)!!! Say a quick prayer for us that everything goes smoothly and nothing get broken!! We are back to planning our missed birthday parties. Now my daughter chose to go to the beach for her birthday but my son decided to have a Paw Patrol party!!
I did most of my planning in my bullet journal. Make notes of all the party details and where its going to be. I also made a list of all items I need to purchase. I like to do a lot of DIY stuff for the kids’ parties but there will still be stuff I will need to pick up. Next I made a list of food. Bradley is lactose intolerant so ice cream is not on our list, actually he can eat sherbet and come to think about that would go great with our color scheme!! Then I have a special surprise for Bradley that requires a reservation. Finally my to do list of stuff I need to do.
Of course a guest list is a requirement, but it just wasn’t something I really want to write in my bullet journal, so I decided to make a FREE printable for my guest list. I wanted to include columns for name (I have to know who I invited), invite (so I can mark that they were invited), RSVP (so I can mark when some lets me know if they are coming or not), how many (because thats important for planning for food) and thank you (so I can make sure and send out thank you cards).
I did make a lot of this a little easier on me this year. I decided since almost everyone is on Facebook that I would just create a Facebook event and invite everyone that way. It will make keeping up with RSVP a little easier.

A few years ago I thought I wanted to try my hand at photography. Actually I love it very much and I still spend time working on my skills, but its just a hobby for me now.
During the days of my photography passion I had to have it all organized which included a planner for all of my photography love. I had previously shared a printable from that planner and since I have shut the blog down that hosted that printable, I decided I would revamp it and share it here with you all since it was such a post printable at my previous blog.
The check list included a place to fill in all the details for the client details and the session details. That helped me with making sure I didn’t forget anything about the family or our plans for the session. Sometimes the family would have a specific request and I would make a note of it on this page so I didn’t forget it.
Next I included a check list for everything I needed to pack for the session. I always liked to make sure I knew everything I was packing before head. I have some items that I always took to every session that is pre-filled in and then I included blank lines for anything extra I planned to take with me.
Then I had a section for any posing ideas I had. It made it easy for me to jot down any thoughts I had and when I was at the session I could glance back at my sheet and remember my ideas.
Finally, I included a section for editing so I could make note of when I promised the finished images, how many images and everywhere I had shared the images on social media.

When we put our house on the market and I shared pictures of my house, one thing that got the most comments was my pantry and “how organized” it is. Every time I heard this I always thought to myself “I am glad someone thinks it looks organized because its a hot mess”. But in all reality I guess it is pretty well organized.
So how did I get it so well organized so easily??? LABELS!!! Actually I label everything!!!
Several years ago I order a bunch of chalk labels from zulilly or somewhere like that and I have used them on my craft supplies, my husband’s tool boxes, my pantry and more. They don’t work the best as far as erasing the previous wording and reusing them. But I love the chalkboard look with the chalk markers.
Anything that I have divided into categories is is labeled. Then when someone is looking for something it can easily be found and when someone is done with something they can easily figure out where it goes to put it back up. Now the putting it back up doesn’t always happen in the timeframe I would prefer. But when we do stop and pick up everything that is out of place the labels make it so that everyone can help me in getting everything organized back where it belongs.
Preparing to move can be very daunting with everything you must do before, during and after the process is a lot to keep up with.
We are currently in the process of moving. Our house is actually under contract, we have a contract on another house and we have a closing date set for both the sell of our current house and the purchase of our forever home.
I have started preparing checklist for emptying our refrigerators, freezers and pantry. Along with list regarding things I must do the week of closing to prepare for the move, things I must do the day of closing to prepare for the move and things I must do the week following closing to help us settle into our new home.
To me one of the most important things you want to make sure you do is have all your services transferred over to your new home and your address updated with all the proper businesses so you don’t miss any important mail. So I decided to design some check list stickers for my bullet journal and today I am sharing with you the PDF printable of those stickers, which you can download HERE!! Of course you will need to print them on sticker paper and cut them out if you want to have them as stickers, or you can use them just the way they are.
One thing I have always enjoyed doing is incorporating the pantene color of the year into some of my projects and since this one is related to moving and the color of the year is greenery, I thought this would be one of the prefect projects for incorporating the color of the year into. So I made the title and the check boxes on my check list green and then when I did the doodling in my bullet journal I made sure to include greenery in it as well.
My stickers don’t quiet fill up the page in my bullet journal and I felt like some doodling, washi tape and lettering would be the prefect fit for filling up the page. I used my tombow dual brush pens for doodling and coloring in my doodles. Since it is related to houses and plants are on my mind I made sure to doodle some houses, vines and flowers on the page. I absolutely LOVE washi tape and this line green washi tape from Target Dollar aisle was prefect to tie the two pages together. I feel like moving is closing one chapter of our lives and starting a new one. So I decided to hand letter “one door closes” on the top of the first page (never mind the last S didn’t fit) and “another opens” on the bottom of the second page.

February was a rough month for me between moving and health issues I just kind of forgot about my bullet journal. I actually picked it back up this past weekend and set it up for March and decided to just do my dailies for the last few days of February after my March set up since I had basically not used it at all in February.
I am loving the monthly intro page for each month and I kept that up this month with some bright spring colors of green and pink. I felt like it was fitting for this month between St. Patrick’s Day and the first day of Spring. Although I am not sure we really had a winter here in Alabama. My rose bushes never went dormant.
Next I set up my monthly calendar spread and task list. I really love this layout and it seem to work really well for me.
Then I set up my gratitude log. I got this layout from Kara over at Boho Berry last year and I still love it. I do like to add some washi tape and some type of quote or doodling in the empty space each month.
Next is my editorial calendar for my blog. The only issue I really have is when I plan something and then decide to post it on a different date. Last month I had made some stickers to use for this spread. I need to make some for March too.
Then I have my habit tracker and my abundance log. I really struggle with my habit tracker in a monthly layout. I am thinking about changing it to a weekly tracker but since I don’t use weekly spreads right now I have left it as a monthly log. I absolutely love the abundance tracker from Lisa Jacob and her book Your Best Year. It has been so helpful for me and with the changes I am making it will help me even more.

I always hear, “how do you keep everything so well organized?” It starts with decluttering! You can not organize clutter. First you must get rid of stuff that is broken, unused and unloved.
The first one is obviously, broken!! Its not hard to look at something and see that its broken or parts are missing. Don’t hang on to those things, get rid of them. Don’t donate them, but trash them.
The next part I want to talk about is unused. How do you determine if something is “unused”?? When was the last time you used it?? Have you used it in the last year?? Some people like to say the last six months, but because of season I always say a year. If you haven’t used it in the last year, consider getting rid of it. Now why do I say consider instead of “donate or sell it”. That leads us to our next step.
Is it unloved?? There are things we keep that are unused because they are loved. Do you have items that are unused, but they have sentimental meaning to you?? Then keep them!! But remember everything can NOT have sentimental meaning to you. That shirt that you bought that doesn’t fit and you never wore, it doesn’t have sentimental meaning to you. Now that piece of jewelry that you never wear but it was handmade by your child, it would have sentimental value to you. I have many of those!!
